Slow Death of the Humboldt Parkway

Buffalo News_Humboldt

The Buffalo News recently published a great chronicle of the slow death of the Humboldt Parkway, which dates back to the 1940s.  As soon as the project was proposed, criticism was voiced by many, including those who stood to lose their homes, businesses, and neighborhoods.

Despite continued resistance, the Kensington and Scajaquada Expressway were obviously built. The article is a great read and demonstrates the communities continued opposition to the demolition of Humboldt Parkway.
